This patient was unhappy with the appearance of her teeth. The teeth were chipped and worn down; they had old fillings that were discolored. She didn’t like the shape of the teeth and decided to crown most of the teeth that were visible in a broad smile.
Procedure: Many all porcelain crowns were used to give the patient the look she was after.
This patient had a heavily restored mouth. At the front of her mouth she had large old bonded restorations in teeth that were very worn down. In the posterior section of her mouth she had large old silver amalgam restorations that were also breaking down. She was unhappy with the look of her teeth.
Procedure: This patient had eight porcelain crowns placed on the lower posterior teeth to replace the amalgam restorations. She also had eight porcelain crowns placed on the upper front teeth. The lower anterior teeth were just bleached before any treatment began so the colour of all the teeth could be matched.
